          Interdisciplinary collaboration to digitize and use computational methods and tools (These include text analysis, data mining, databases, metadata, geospatial encoding, virtual world building, network analysis, information visualization, interface design – Drucker) to create research, products, exhibits and resources.

Practitioners in the field are concerned with the development of data, digital scholarship, resources and tools.  Additionally the  management, evaluation, preservation, and interpretation of this form of data, and the impact of technology in shaping it. (GM & Terras)

Digital Humanities is committed to engaging the public in the stories, documents, artifacts and lessons of human endeavor.  This field is not limited to collection, exhibition and education, but to expanding access to this information, creating new ways of creating, organizing and interpreting the corpus of human knowledge, and sharing both the scholarship and processes to enhance human awareness and experience.
